What we need to hear again and again….

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities, but this is what they heard:

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to ask Your Forgiveness and seek Your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ”Woe to those who call evil good,” but that’s exactly what we have done. We have lost our Spiritual equilibrium and inverted our values. We confess that; we have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it pluralism; We have worshiped other gods and called it multiculturalism; We have endorsed perversion and called it an alternative lifestyle; We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery; We have neglected the needy and called it self preservation; We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare; We have killed our unborn and called it choice; We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable; We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem; We have abused power and called it political savvy; We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition; We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression; We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, O God, and know our hearts today; try us and see if there be some wicked way in us; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Guide and bless these men and women who have been sent here by the people of this state and who have been ordained by You, to govern this great state of Kansas. Grant them your wisdom to rule and may their decisions direct us to the center of Your Will.

I ask in in the name of your Son, The Living Savior, Jesus Christ

Saudi Oil Minister Warns Against Hasty Transition to Renewable Energy

So what do you expect him to say? Go ahead?

Personally, I don’t think we’re anywhere near ready to cut off our imports from the mid-east, but this makes me smile. He’s afraid his economy will collapse, and is complaining that demand is down.

Welcome to the real world.

Definitions ????

I remember a previous Democrat president trying to re-define the words “sex” and “is”.

Now read this from our current Democrat president:

When asked at his press conference how a bill filled with hundreds of pages devoted to billions of dollars of spending on unnecessary pork projects which create no jobs and will not stimulate the economy could be described as being without earmarks, President Obama responded by redefining the term. He said, “I describe earmarks as the process by which individual members insert pet projects without review.” So if the pet project was in the bill already as it was being read and voted on by the Senate, then it is inherently not an earmark, because it has been reviewed. Functionally it’s still identical to any other pork project, but having been reviewed it no longer counts.

Link here:

I mean — come on. Get a load of this… Not an Earmark. I did not have sex with that woman, and it all depends on what the definition of “is” is.

And I have a short memory, but didn’t that individual that I cannot say the name of, current speaker of the house, say something ….

Oh here it is….

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Sunday vowed that there will be no earmarks in the upcoming economic stimulus bill that Congress and the incoming Obama administration are negotiating.

“I can pledge to you that no earmark or any of that, any description you want to make of it will be in the bill that passes the House,” Pelosi said in an interview on CNN’s “Late Edition.”

Despite a significant Democratic majority in the House, Pelosi wants Republicans involved in the deliberations over the economic recovery package.

On issues like the massive stimulus, “you really want as much legitimacy as possible,” Pelosi said.

She also indicated that the $775 billion economic stimulus package proposed by Obama’s transition team might grow.

But that was way back on Jan. 11, 2009. 31 days ago. And now they have shut the Republican party out of any reconciliation with the Senate bill, passed it with only 3 RINO senators, everyone else was Democrat or “independent”.

And loaded this think up with so much pork we’ll be slinging bacon for the next 2 centuries. If we survive.

I guess talk is cheap for someone who displays no intention of ever keeping their word about anything.

WAKE UP AMERICA!!!! Nero is fiddling, and I smell smoke.
