The president said that the costs of Medicare and Medicaid are on an “unsustainable” trajectory and if there is no action taken to bring them down, “the federal government will go bankrupt.”
“This actually provides us the best chance of starting to bend the cost curve on the government expenditures in Medicare and Medicaid,” Obama said.
HMMM.
The way I see it:
1. The USA is already bankrupt to the tune of $9 Trillion
2. The “Healthcare Reform” bill is admitted to cost another $2.5 Trillion, and we all know what is a low-ball estimate.
3. Medicare and Medicaid are already bankrupt.
So if we don’t spend AT LEAST another $2.5 Trillion we don’t have, “the USA will go bankrupt” ????
I always heard that the best thing to do when you found yourself in a hole was to stop digging. But I guess I’m just not as smart intelligent bright dumb as these folks.
